Boat Raffle Winner 2019
Patrick was thrilled to have won the Bunbury Boat Raffle drawn for Christmas but not being a keen boats man, was unsure of what to do with the prize. 'I get sea sick in the bathtub.' Patrick exclaimed.  Patrick was a past president of the now defunct, Donnybrook Rotary Club and in an interesting turn of events offered to sell the boat and donate some of the proceeds back to the Bunbury Rotary Club.
“Having been formally involved in Rotary, I understand the importance of these fund-raisers and the desired effect of giving back to the community”, he said.
With help from Bunbury Rotary president, Michelle Piotrowski, the boat was placed for sale on social media and the like. “It didn't take long to sell', she said. “People could see they were getting a brand new boat at a second hand price.”
Ricky from Perth was happy with his purchase and drove down to Bunbury with his two sons to collect his new boat. They were excited to be getting the new craft and were looking forward to catching some crabs.
“I might even take it out on the Collie River. I haven't done much boating around Bunbury but from what I hear there are heaps of great places in the area”
